Alessandro Rosatelli has been practicing in the area of orthopaedics
since 1996. He graduated from the University of Toronto with
degrees in both Human Biology (92) and Physical Therapy (96).
He completed his clinical Masters in Manual and Manipulative
Physiotherapy from the University of Queensland in Australia
in 2000. He is credentialed with the McKenzie Institute International
and is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Therapists
(FCAMT). He has been involved in post-graduate education, teaching
advanced manual therapy courses on a diverse spectrum of topics.
Alessandro has a special interest in the assessment and treatment
of the lower extremity dysfunctions, particularly the foot and
ankle region. He is also keenly interested in the assessment
and treatment and disorders affecting the spine. He recently
completed his PhD in the Department of Surgery, Division of
Anatomy at the University of Toronto. His current research interests
being the development of an accurate and complete three dimensional
(3D) computer model of the muscles of the lower back.
 
PT, ATRI
Sonia Rosatelli graduated from Queens University in 2000 with
a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy. Since then
she has worked extensively in the area of orthopaedics, treating
patients using a diverse range of therapy techniques including
acupuncture, myofacial release, and therapeutic touch. Sonia
also received training in aquatic therapy and has a special
interest in developing new exercise therapy protocols for treating
commonly seen orthopedic conditions. Sonia is currently preparing
to complete her training in acupuncture and manual therapy.
She is fluent in both French and Italian.
 
Registered Massage Therapist
Kirsten Mullin attended York University were she completed her Kinesiology degree. She went on to attend Elmcrest College of Applied Health Sciences were she completed her Massage Therapist Diploma and registered with the College of Massage Therapist in 2005. Kirsten demonstrates an in-depth knowledge and education in the health sciences field taking numerous courses that have included advanced assessments techniques and anatomy courses that have enhanced her myofascial techniques, useful in treating individuals in motor vehicle injuries. Kirsten’s client caseload includes everyone from the everyday worker to the weekend warrior, young and old. Her specialized assessment techniques, soft tissues manipulations, and knowledge of stretching and exercise protocols allow her to provide the highest level of client care.
 
Certified Acupuncturist
Susan Redgrave began her Acupuncture studies in 2004 at the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Pharmacology Canada in Markham. She then went on to complete her studies at the Institute of Traditional Medicine in Toronto. Susan was certified by the Ontario Acupuncture Examination Committee in 2007. Susan has been actively involved in health and fitness most of her life. She is a Personal Trainer, Fitness and Lifestyles Consultant, Reiki Practitioner, and Shiatsu Practitioner. Susan draws on a unique blend of treatment modalities, integrated with the Traditional Chinese method of Acupuncture, treating the body as a whole.
 
Physiotherapy Assistant
Rui Costa receieved his physiothearpy assistant diploma in 2003. He has worked at Body in Balance Physiotherapy for the last 5 years and is an intergral member of the staff assisting members of our team deliver professional care and treatment to our clients.
